.: Case overview
The merger involving Antena 3’s takeover of La Sexta in October 2012 has been seen as one of the most successful operations undertaken in the audiovisual industry. Analysts and investors, as well as European operators, have made a very positive assessment of this operation, both in terms of audience figures and the success of the new group’s programming, as well as regarding its economic and financial performance. Operational and productive integration has provided the backbone for this success, all at a time marked by crisis and its knock-on effect on the downturn in the advertising market.
